"Spent three hours getting from Sukhumvit to Silom, which gave me plenty of time to admire the elevated expressway from below. The street food was genuinely life-changing, the temples took my breath away (partly the incense, partly the heat), and my hotel had a rooftop bar that made me forget my taxi driver took a 'shortcut' through what appeared to be three different provinces. Bangkok is chaos wearing gold leaf, and I mean that as the highest compliment."
