"Visited La Candelaria expecting a quick stroll through colonial streets and ended up trapped in a hailstorm followed by blazing sun twenty minutes later. The Gold Museum was genuinely spectacular and TransMilenio got me across town fast, but also I stood pressed against a stranger's backpack for forty-five minutes like we were old friends. Ajiaco soup saved my life at 2,600 meters when the altitude tried to take me out on day one. Would return, but I'm bringing an oxygen tank and four different jackets next time."
