"Spent four hours trying to find my way out of the medina and ended up buying a lamp I didn't want from a man who called me 'his friend' seventeen times. The Jemaa el-Fnaa square at night is genuinely magical, all snake charmers and orange juice stalls, right up until someone tries to put a monkey on your shoulder for a fee. Riads are gorgeous, hidden behind unmarked doors like the whole city is one giant speakeasy, but good luck getting a taxi to actually use the meter. Still, the tagine was the best thing I've eaten in years so I'll allow it."
