"Beautiful colourful rooftops and the Hallgrímskirkja is genuinely stunning, but I ordered a hot dog and a beer at the harbour and had to remortgage my house back in Ohio. The Blue Lagoon was lovely until I realised half of Reykjavik was queueing there with me, all holding the same guidebook. Also it was pitch black at 3pm in December which really threw off my dinner plans."
