Grimsby, England
Cod's Gift to Humberside
"Where the fish are fresher than the air"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield divided quarterly: bearing a rampant cod fish wielding a shopping trolley, surmounted by the mighty Dock Tower crowned with seagulls. The base features crossed fish fingers on a field of car park tarmac, with the motto 'Ex Mare, Ad Tesco' emblazoned below.
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Visited Grimsby for the authentic maritime experience and boy did I get it! The aroma hits you before you even leave the train station - it's like being hugged by a thousand kippers. The town centre has that authentic post-industrial charm where every other shop is either a charity shop or optimistically 'opening soon'. Dock Tower is genuinely impressive though, like a Victorian lighthouse that got lost inland."— FishAndChipsFan2019 from Milton Keynes

Supporting Evidence
Grimsby's Dock Tower was built in 1852 as a hydraulic accumulator and stands 309 feet tall - making it taller than Big Ben, though significantly less famous and considerably more fishy-smelling.
