"Visited the Hamilton Mausoleum expecting a quick look and ended up standing in silence for ten minutes just to hear my own footsteps echo for fifteen seconds, genuinely the best free thing to do in South Lanarkshire. Town centre itself is a bit of a mixed bag, lots of empty units where shops used to be, and finding parking near the Sheriff Court on a Tuesday is a personal battle. Race day at Hamilton Park is brilliant fun if you don't mind the M74 traffic afterwards. Solid base for exploring Chatelherault Country Park though, that bit's genuinely lovely."— BrianFromBothwell_1978
