Newry, Northern Ireland
Smuggler's Roundabout Central
"Where Every Road Leads to Another Roundabout"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield displaying a mighty roundabout rampant, encircled by shopping trolleys of both sterling and euro denominations. Above, two customs officers passant guardant flank a crown of traffic cones, while below flows the noble Clanrye River, barely visible beneath a bridge of eternal roadworks.
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Visited Newry for shopping and got completely lost in their roundabout system - I think I accidentally entered the Republic of Ireland twice just trying to find the car park. The Quays shopping centre is decent enough, and you can definitely feel the border town energy with all the different currency signs. Just bring a GPS and maybe a compass."— CircularMotion_Dave from Banbridge

Supporting Evidence
Newry was Ireland's first purpose-built new town in 1742, which explains why it feels like it was designed by someone who really, really loved straight lines and river crossings.
