"Where Dreams Go to Rust"

Official Coat of Arms

A shield divided into quarters featuring a corroded pier rampant on a field of grey drizzle, a donkey struggling against hurricane-force winds, crossed candyfloss sticks over a background of faded 'Kiss Me Quick' hats, and a crown representing the Tower majestically rising above a sea of discount souvenir shops.

TripAdvisor Review

★★★☆☆ 3/5

"Visited Blackpool for a weekend break and honestly, it's exactly what you'd expect. The Tower is genuinely impressive, though everything around it looks like it's been marinated in salt air and regret. Had fish and chips that were decent, then tried my luck at the arcades - lost £20 in 2p machines which somehow felt inevitable. The Pleasure Beach was fun but pricey, and the Golden Mile is more like the Slightly Tarnished Mile these days."

Supporting Evidence

Blackpool's famous illuminations use over one million light bulbs and consume enough electricity to power a small town, making it visible from space - which is handy since it helps astronauts locate exactly where British seaside optimism goes to die.
