Carpi, Italy

Fashion Outlet Limbo

"Where designer dreams go to retire"

Official Coat of Arms

A golden sewing machine rampant upon a field of azure polyester, flanked by two shopping bags couchant, with a crown of factory smokestacks proper surmounted by the noble Palazzo Pio desperately trying to maintain dignity above the retail chaos below.

TripAdvisor Review

★★★☆☆ 3/5

"Visited Carpi expecting some authentic Italian charm but found myself in what felt like Europe's largest discount clothing warehouse with a historic center awkwardly attached. The Palazzo Pio is genuinely beautiful, but it's surrounded by so many fabric shops I thought I'd accidentally booked a business trip to a textile convention. At least the tortellini was excellent."
