"The Duomo is genuinely breathtaking and I cried a little, but then I tried to cross the road near the Navigli and nearly didn't make it to see another cathedral. Spent more on a coffee near Via Montenapoleone than I did on my hotel room in Rome, and the smog haze over the skyline makes the Alps look like a rumour. Still, the aperitivo spread was so generous I basically had dinner for the price of a Spritz, so I'll forgive the fact that my metro was delayed twice and once smelled faintly of cheese."— Gary Fenwick, Doncaster
