Clifton, England
Clifton-on-Overdraft
"Where your mortgage goes to die"
Official Coat of Arms
A golden suspension bridge rampant above a field of estate agent boards, flanked by two rearing coffee cups priced at £4.50 each. The crest bears a Victorian terrace with pound signs for windows, symbolizing the eternal struggle between architectural beauty and financial ruin.
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Lovely area if you enjoy paying £800k for a Victorian terrace that needs 'some updating' (translation: complete rewiring and a new roof). The Suspension Bridge is genuinely spectacular, though I had to remortgage just to park near it. Coffee costs more than my daily salary but at least the views are free."— BargainHunter2024 from Swindon

Supporting Evidence
Clifton's average house price is so high that the Monopoly board had to create a special 'Clifton Edition' where you start the game already in debt and Old Kent Road costs £2 million.
