Dundee, Scotland
Jute-Haven-Upon-Tay
"Where dreams go to hibernate indoors"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield divided quarterly, featuring a golden traffic cone rampant upon the first quarter, representing the city's eternal roadworks; a silver umbrella deflecting pewter raindrops horizontal upon the second; crossed jute fibres and a computer mouse upon the third, symbolising the transition from textiles to tech; and upon the fourth, the noble Tay Bridge rendered in azure, surrounded by dormant cranes couchant.

"Visited Dundee expecting the 'City of Discovery' to be more... discoverable? The V&A is genuinely brilliant, but getting there means navigating what feels like Scotland's most enthusiastic roundabout collection. Had excellent fish and chips while sheltering from horizontal rain that seemed personally offended by my umbrella. The locals are lovely though, and their ability to find sunshine in 47 consecutive grey days is genuinely inspiring."— WeatherWatcher2019 from Brighton

Supporting Evidence
Dundee has more hours of sunshine per year than Rome - they just all happen to occur during the same week in July when everyone's coincidentally on holiday in Spain.
