Evesham, England
Asparagus-on-Avon
"Where vegetables have more personality than nightlife"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield bearing a golden asparagus spear rampant upon a field of retail park grey, flanked by two dormant high street shops and crowned with the Bell Tower emerging from a cloud of market town respectability.
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Visited Evesham for the famous asparagus festival and honestly wasn't sure what I expected. The town centre is pleasant enough with some nice independent shops, but after 6pm it's quieter than a monastery. The Bell Tower is lovely though, and the riverside walk by the Avon is genuinely peaceful. Just don't come expecting Vegas-level entertainment."— VeggieTourist2024 from Birmingham

Twinned With
Boring — Both places have embraced their destiny as somewhere nothing particularly exciting happens, and that's absolutely fine.
Supporting Evidence
Evesham is genuinely considered the asparagus capital of England, with the Vale of Evesham's sandy soil producing some of the country's finest spears, making it possibly the only place where vegetables get more tourist attention than the medieval abbey ruins.
