Kidderminster, England
Carpet Capital of Perpetual Roadworks
"We'll weave you into traffic jams"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield divided quarterly, bearing a golden loom rampant on a field of traffic cones, supported by two steam locomotives emerging from charity shop fronts. The crest displays a carpet roll unfurling over the River Stour, with the motto 'Per Aspera Ad Retail Park' inscribed on a banner held by floating hi-vis jackets.
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Visited Kidderminster to ride the heritage railway and ended up spending more time watching the Ring Road construction crew take their lunch break. The carpet museum was surprisingly fascinating though - who knew floor coverings could be so dramatic? Town center feels like it's been under renovation since the Domesday Book was written, but the charity shops are top notch."— CarpetCrusader2023 from Milton Keynes
