"The cathedral spire is genuinely breathtaking and the Magna Carta copy is worth the trip alone, but the city centre shuts down at about 6pm like someone's pulled a plug. Parking near the Close is a blood sport and the Novichok jokes have not aged well with the locals, understandably.
