"Stayed near the Shannon for a rugby weekend and the atmosphere at Thomond Park was genuinely electric, no notes there. King John's Castle is a proper stone fortress and the People's Park is lovely on a dry day, of which we had exactly one. Getting anywhere in the city centre by car felt like a personal punishment from the council, and the one-way system defeated three separate taxi drivers. Great pubs though, and nobody mentioned limericks at me once, which I appreciated."— BarryFromCork_NeverAgain
