"Came for the Beatles, stayed because the Queensway Tunnel spat me out somewhere near Birkenhead and I couldn't find my way back. The Albert Dock is genuinely lovely and the museums are free, which is more than I can say for the parking. Everyone was hilarious and called me 'la' which I still don't fully understand, but the derby day atmosphere nearly gave me a heart attack.
