Quaint-But-Expensive-Upon-Thames

"Where your mortgage goes to die picturesquely"

Official Coat of Arms

A shield featuring a golden Metropolitan line train rampant upon a field of Georgian brickwork, crowned with a Tudor cottage whose price tag extends beyond the visible heraldic border. Supported by two estate agents clutching clipboards, with the Latin motto 'Commutamus Ergo Sumus' beneath.

TripAdvisor Review

★★★★☆ 4/5

"Lovely historic market town that's basically a living museum of Georgian architecture. The Old Town is absolutely charming with its wide high street and coaching inns, though I did have to sell a kidney to afford lunch at one of the gastro pubs. The Metropolitan line connection to London is brilliant, which explains why a two-bedroom cottage costs more than a small castle in Scotland."
