"Where Your Car Becomes An Oven"
Official Coat of Arms
A blazing sun rampant over a field of cracked asphalt, flanked by two wilted palm trees drooping in defeat. Above, a banner bears the motto 'Per Aspera Ad Air Conditioning' while below, a melted thermometer serves as the base, eternally reading 'TOO HOT.'

"Visited Phoenix in July because apparently I hate myself. The rental car steering wheel was literally too hot to touch and I watched a tourist crack an egg on the sidewalk for a TikTok. The air conditioning bill at our hotel probably funded a small wind farm. On the plus side, you really appreciate shade in ways you never thought possible."— MeltedInMinnesota from Duluth, MN

This stunning desert oasis offers year-round sunshine and an authentic outdoor lifestyle! The natural climate eliminates any need for food refrigeration from May through October, and the generous heat creates a unique spa-like experience every time you step outside. Pool maintenance is refreshingly minimal as the water evaporates before algae can even think about growing!
Twinned With
Death Valley — Both places make you question humanity's commitment to living in completely uninhabitable temperatures.
Supporting Evidence
Phoenix is one of the few major cities where the airport actually feels cooler than being outside, and locals have been known to go mall-walking in July not for exercise, but for basic survival.
