Preston, England
Preston-Upon-Roundabout
"Where Dreams Go to Queue"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield divided into quarters featuring: a perpetually rotating roundabout proper, a shopping trolley abandoned in the River Ribble, and two rampant grey clouds weeping eternally over a field of retail parks. Supported by a pair of confused motorists holding sat-navs, with the motto 'Via Circulus ad Nowhere' inscribed beneath.
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Visited Preston for a weekend break and honestly, the ring road is more of a tourist attraction than anything else. Spent quality time at the Fishergate Centre watching teenagers vape outside Sports Direct. The weather was authentically Lancashire - rained sideways for two days straight. At least the bus station is properly massive."— GrahamFromGuildford, Surrey

Preston was the first town in the world to have gas street lighting in 1816, though today most visitors are more impressed by the sheer number of traffic lights per square mile.
