Radyr, Wales
Almost Cardiff
"So close, yet so far from the action"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield bearing a railway bridge rampant over a field of overpriced detached houses, supported by two commuters clutching season tickets. The motto reads 'Neither Here Nor There' beneath a crown of perfectly manicured hedge trimmings.
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Lovely little village that's technically part of Cardiff but feels like you've driven into rural Wales by accident. The train station is handy if you want to escape to somewhere more exciting. The Old Church Rooms pub does a decent pint though, and at least the house prices reflect that you're paying Cardiff money for countryside amenities."— TrainSpotter42 from Birmingham

Supporting Evidence
Radyr's railway viaduct was built in 1863 and is still the most exciting thing to happen there, as evidenced by locals giving directions based on 'near the big bridge.'
