"Took the kids for a bank holiday trip and honestly the beach itself is lovely, wide golden sand and you can see Liverpool Bay on a clear day. Shame about the boarded up shops on the high street and the arcade that smelled overwhelmingly of vinegar and regret. The Sky Tower looked like it hadn't moved since the 90s but the fish and chips redeemed the whole trip. Would come back but maybe not for the nightlife."— Barry Fenwick, Warrington
