"Drove up from Brisbane expecting a nice riverside town and got a giant bronze bull on every corner instead, which honestly grew on me. The Fitzroy River is pretty until you remember it's technically crocodile habitat, which the locals mention with disturbing calm. Heritage buildings are lovely but the heat in summer makes you question every life decision that led you to Central Queensland.
