Shepparton, Australia

Fruit Tin City

"Canned, Preserved, and Proud of It"

Official Coat of Arms

A shield quartered with a tin of SPC peaches rampant, a Murray River cod leaping over a sun-scorched highway, and a dairy cow chewing thoughtfully beneath a motto scroll reading 'We Preserve Everything, Including Our Traffic Jams'. Surmounted by a cracked irrigation channel in lieu of a crown.

TripAdvisor Review

★★★☆☆ 3/5

"Visited Shepparton for the SPC cannery tour and left smelling faintly of tinned pears for three days. The Goulburn Valley Highway roundabouts are genuinely a full-time hobby to navigate, and the summer heat sits on you like a wet towel from the Aquamoves pool. That said, the multicultural food scene is a proper surprise for a regional town this size, and the Vaughan Street murals are worth the trip alone."
