"Lovely market town with proper Welsh character, though getting through it on the A40 added an unexpected hour to our Brecon Beacons trip. The castle ruins are genuinely impressive and the food festival buzz is real, but why does every route to anywhere scenic have to funnel through this one roundabout? Still, grabbed excellent cheese at the market and the mountain views from the town center are spectacular."
