"Came for the Butlin's, stayed because the car wouldn't start in the sea air. The pier is genuinely charming in a 'held together by seagull hope' kind of way, and the beach huts are lovely if you squint past the pebbles. Had a decent chip supper on the seafront but the wind nearly took my newspaper and my dignity.
