"Came for the Spa complex, stayed because the car park machine ate my last two pounds. The harbour is genuinely lovely and the fish and chips at the front are top notch, but the wind off the North Sea nearly took my hat, my dignity, and my child's inflatable dinghy into Yorkshire's grey abyss. Old Town has some charm but half of Promenade felt shut for the season even in July.
