Gold Coast, Australia
Surfers Sprawlopolis
"Where Every Skyline Photo Has a Crane in It"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield of shimmering high-rise towers rampant against a golden sun, flanked by a jet ski and a roller-coaster carriage, with a banner beneath reading 'Semper Constructio' (Always Under Construction).
TripAdvisor Review
★★★★☆ 4/5
"Came for the beaches, stayed for the three-hour detour around yet another high-rise construction site on the Esplanade. The surf at Surfers Paradise is genuinely great but you'll share it with roughly four thousand other people and a school of jet skis. Theme parks are fun but budget a small mortgage for parking and a bottle of water. Still, nowhere else lets you body surf in the morning and queue for a rollercoaster by lunch."— Barry Fenwick, Toowoomba
Property Listing
Stunning coastal lifestyle opportunity with uninterrupted ocean glimpses (from floor 38 upward, weather permitting), moments from world-class theme parks and a vibrant nightlife scene that never truly sleeps or quiets down. Perfect for the buyer who dreams of permanent holiday vibes and doesn't mind the sound of pile drivers as their morning alarm.
Twinned With
Miami Beach — Both are strips of high-rise ambition built on sand, sunburn, and the firm belief that more neon equals more fun.
Supporting Evidence
The Gold Coast has more high-rise buildings per capita than any other Australian city, despite being built almost entirely on a sandbar.
