Swansea: The Lovely City
"Where the wind comes free with every purchase"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield divided quarterly, bearing a rampant shopping trolley abandoned in the Tawe, a pair of crossed umbrellas turned inside-out, the Liberty Stadium rising proudly from a car park, and three seagulls aggressive, clutching chips proper. Beneath, a banner reading 'Lovely' in letters weathered but not defeated.
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Visited Swansea for a weekend break and was genuinely charmed by the Maritime Quarter, though I did have to chase my hat down Wind Street three times. The Mumbles is absolutely gorgeous when you can see it through the rain, and I loved how the city centre shopping feels like a treasure hunt - you never know which shops will still be open! The locals are incredibly friendly, probably because misery loves company when it comes to the weather."— WeatherWarrior_Cardiff
Property Listing
Discover vibrant Swansea - where every property comes with character-building sea breezes and convenient access to both the stunning Gower Peninsula and the cultural delights of Wind Street's nightlife! The city centre offers exciting urban regeneration opportunities, with new developments rising faster than you can say 'another student accommodation block.'
Twinned With
Wellington, New Zealand - both cities have perfected the art of horizontal rain and residents who've developed superhuman grip strength from holding onto umbrellas.
Supporting Evidence
Swansea's city centre has been rebuilt so many times since WWII that locals joke it's the only place where you can get lost using a satnav from last year, as half the streets have been pedestrianised, demolished, or turned into yet another coffee shop.
