"Came for a day trip and stayed for four hours longer than planned because the trains back to Brighton were delayed, which felt oddly fitting. The pier is genuinely lovely and the pebble beach has that classic Sussex charm, but the town centre closes at about 5pm and everyone over 70 has clearly claimed the deckchairs by 9am. Lovely Regency architecture if you squint past the vape shops. Would recommend for a gentle wander but don't expect nightlife beyond a Wetherspoons and some very determined seagulls."— Colin_Prunes, Guildford
