"Charming enough for an afternoon but don't expect much beyond the beach and the old church. We drove down from Cardiff hoping for a bustling market town and found a lovely Norman church, a pleasant Blue Flag beach at nearby Col-huw, and roughly four places to get a coffee. The Llantwit Major railway station platform is so short only one carriage fits, which felt like a metaphor for the whole visit.
