Plymouth, England
Mayflower Departure Lounge
"Where History Sets Sail and Traffic Stands Still"
Official Coat of Arms
A silver mayflower rampant upon a field of orange traffic cones, supported by two concrete brutalist towers regardant. Above, a crown of seagulls proper, clutching portions of chips. The motto reads 'Semper Navigare, Nunquam Parcus' (Always Sailing, Never Parking).
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Lovely historic waterfront with the famous Mayflower Steps, though they're not actually the original steps and look more like a small concrete platform. The Barbican is charming but parking costs more than a transatlantic voyage. At least the fish and chips were decent while we waited 40 minutes to get out of the car park."— NavigationNightmare from Exeter

Twinned With
Plymouth-Massachusetts — Both towns built their entire identity around people who desperately wanted to leave.
Supporting Evidence
Plymouth's famous Mayflower Steps weren't built until 1891, meaning they're about as authentically Pilgrim as the nearby shopping centre, but considerably more photogenic.
