"Came for a round on the Old Course, stayed for three days because I couldn't get a tee time without a second mortgage and a letter of introduction. The town itself is gorgeous in a 'every building is older than my country' way, but good luck finding anything open past 9pm that isn't a pub full of golf widows. Also the wind off the North Sea will steal your umbrella, your dignity, and possibly your golf ball mid-swing. Lovely ruins though."— Gary Fourputt, Orlando, Florida
