Worcester, Wales
Wuss-ter-shire Sauce
"We're not the one you're thinking of"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield divided per pale, bearing on the dexter a confused tourist clutching a satnav, on the sinister a bottle of Worcestershire sauce with a large red X through it, all surmounted by a crown of sheep looking mildly apologetic for the geographical mix-up.
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Lovely little Welsh town, though I spent the first hour looking for the cathedral that's actually in England. The locals were very patient explaining which Worcester I'd stumbled into. Nice countryside walks and the pub does a decent pint, but don't expect any famous sauce factories."— ConfusedTourist47 from Birmingham
Property Listing
Charming rural location with the prestigious Worcester name! Enjoy all the cachet of living in a place people have definitely heard of, plus the delightful surprise element when visitors realize they've driven to the wrong country entirely. Excellent transport links to everywhere except where people think you live.
Twinned With
East Berlin — Both know what it's like living in the shadow of their more famous namesake.
Supporting Evidence
Worcester in Wales regularly receives misdirected mail intended for its much larger English namesake, including tourist inquiries about a cathedral that doesn't exist here.
