"Arrived at Caldicot & Rogiet's neighbouring station expecting a bustling village and instead found a lovely lady at the level crossing barriers, a very quiet main road and the distant hum of the M4 and the Severn Tunnel doing all the important work underground. The Severn Tunnel Junction is impressive, if you enjoy standing on a platform watching expresses to London and Bristol go past like they're late for something. The village itself is peaceful, pleasant and blissfully free of anything to do, which I suppose is a kind of achievement.
