Stroud, Wales
Soggy Bottom Valley
"Where the hills are steep and the streets are steeper"
Official Coat of Arms
A shield divided between perpetually grey clouds above and a gradient representing the town's legendary inclines below. Supported by two mountain goats wearing hiking boots, with a banner reading 'Per Aspera Ad Tesco' - through hardship to the supermarket.
TripAdvisor Review
★★★☆☆ 3/5
"Visited Stroud expecting a quaint Welsh valley town and got exactly that, plus a free workout from all the hills. The high street is basically a ski slope without the snow, and I counted three charity shops selling the same book. Nice views though, if you can catch your breath long enough to appreciate them."— WheezyWalker from Birmingham
